OYSTER BAY, NY – Travelers in 2024 will prioritize authentic and customized travel experiences in off-the-beaten-path locations, according to a new survey by American Marketing Group (AMG). Italy, Greece, and Portugal are among the top destinations, along with Alaska and Riviera Maya. South Africa, Eastern Europe, Japan, Thailand, and Antarctica are highlighted as emerging trending locales. The survey also identified all-inclusive travel, river and ocean cruising, multigenerational travel, and small-group travel as top travel trends for 2024. Bucket-list trips, personalized experiences, off-the-beaten-path destinations, authentic travel, and AI-assisted travel planning are the top emerging trends. The survey was conducted among advisors from TRAVELSAVERS, NEST, and Affluent Traveler Collection agency affiliates in the US and Canada.
