Apple Vision Pro Release Date Announcement Coming Soon

The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for 2024 is set to begin on Tuesday, and while Apple traditionally does not participate in large trade shows like CES, there are rumors swirling about the release date of their highly anticipated Vision Pro. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has shared his thoughts on the matter, suggesting that Apple may make an announcement regarding the Vision Pro in the coming week to divert some attention away from CES.

Gurman also revealed that the Vision Pro is already being shipped in small quantities to warehouses in the US, in preparation for its distribution to Apple retail stores. It is believed that there will be sufficient supply by the end of January, indicating a potential launch in February.

Although a previous report hinted at a January 27th release date, Gurman stressed that Apple plans to sell the Vision Pro in retail stores, allowing customers to reserve the spatial computer online but complete their purchase in-store. The device will be personalized through a face scan for an optimal fit, with components such as the light seal and band customized to the user’s head.

Gurman revealed that Apple retail store employees are currently being trained to sell the Vision Pro. Several employees from US Apple stores will be flying to Cupertino for training sessions before returning to their respective stores to train their colleagues on how to sell the device.

The International Rollout

Furthermore, Gurman provided insight into the international rollout plans for the Vision Pro. While previous reports suggested that global markets would have to wait until later in 2024 for the device, Gurman indicated that countries such as China, Canada, and the UK could potentially receive the Vision Pro sooner. However, specific release dates for these markets have not been disclosed.

With CES about to kick off, it could be only a matter of time before Apple makes its highly anticipated Vision Pro announcement. It is speculated that Apple may choose to slightly delay the announcement to coincide with the unveiling of the Galaxy S24 next week, which, although not a direct rival to the Vision Pro, could put pressure on Apple’s iPhone with its advanced Galaxy AI features.
