Mounties Investigating Death of Woman Found on Highway 1 in Chilliwack
Mounties are currently investigating the death of a woman who was found on Monday morning in Chilliwack. The woman’s body was discovered lying on the travel portion of Highway 1 at Vedder Road at approximately 3:15 a.m., according to the RCMP’s Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment. Further details surrounding the incident will not be released until the woman’s next of kin have been notified. Sergeant Krista Vrolyk confirmed this information. The Chilliwack RCMP, Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service, BC Coroners Service, and Forensic Identification Service are working together to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the woman’s death.
