Get Peace of Mind on the Slopes with skiKrumb GPS Tracker

As ski and snowboard season approaches, ensuring safety on the slopes is crucial. That’s where skiKrumb comes in, a new Okanagan company offering a GPS-based tracker specifically designed for young skiers and snowboarders.

The idea for the tracker came from skiKrumb’s founder and CEO Keith MacIntyre, who was separated from his son at a ski hill. Recognizing the need for a reliable tracking device, MacIntyre developed a small GPS tracker with a battery life of several days and a GPS range of 15 to 20 kilometers.

Unlike cellphones, which may lose signal in remote areas, and Apple’s Airtags, which are not suitable for mountainous environments, skiKrumb’s tracker is specifically designed to withstand the challenges of ski hills.

One of the first resorts to offer skiKrumb’s tracker for rental is Apex Mountain Resort near Penticton. The resort recognizes the importance of ensuring the safety of young skiers and supports any technology that can provide peace of mind to parents. The tracker, which can be rented for $20 a day or $250 for the season, allows parents to easily track their child’s location on the mountain.

With skiKrumb’s tracker, parents no longer have to worry about their child getting lost or separated on the slopes. The compact and durable device provides real-time location updates, giving parents the reassurance they need to enjoy their skiing experience.
