Fall Production of “Bright Star” at Steubenville High School

BRIGHT STARS — Steubenville High School will stage its fall production of the musical “Bright Star” Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 the day of the performance. Tickets can be bought at the high school between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. or online. Cast members include Matthew Miller, Nina Holt, Jacob Burchfield, Devon Renforth, Bella Thompson, Ashley Toothman, and Gabe Ensell.

Steubenville High School’s International Thespians Society will be presenting their fall production of the musical “Bright Star”. The performances will take place in the high school auditorium at 470 N. Fourth St. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on Thursday, 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets for the show are priced at $12 in advance and $15 at the door. They can be purchased online at https://steubenvillehsfinearts.ludus.com/index.php or in person at the high school’s main office between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays.

About the Musical “Bright Star”

The musical “Bright Star” is inspired by a true story and features a Grammy-nominated score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. It takes place in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina during the 1920s and 1940s. The story follows a tale of love and redemption and is brought to life through powerful performances and beautiful melodies.

Cast and Crew

The production features members of Steubenville High School’s Troupe No. 5393. The cast includes Gianna Barker, Caleigha Birden, Gabby Bodo, Jacob Burchfield, Rhyan Cochrane, Maleea Crownover, Jude Dettore, Gabe Ensell, Madison Hickey, Nina Holt, Logan Lynch, Trymia Mayo, Matthew Miller, Anthony Pearce, Laila Reed, Devon Renforth, Katherine Riley, Aideen Shaw, Bella Thompson, Ashley Toothman, and Tiarra Williams. Technicians involved are Ashley Cochrane, Kylee Dennis, Carter Graziano, Danica Ramsey, Sophie Schuetz, and Brianne Wells.

Upcoming Events

Director Scott Wolodkin expressed gratitude towards the drama club tech crews and announced future events, including a “Christmas Cabaret on Broadway” on December 16. The drama club’s untitled spring musical is set to be presented on March 14-16.
