Well, we are thrilled to announce that you will finally be able to satisfy your virtual food cravings when Nour launches on PS5 and PS4 on September 12. Nour is a game that I’ve been working on for years, and yet I still discover new sights, sounds, and emergent mechanics. Its outward beauty is balanced by an inner mechanical depth. Now, let’s talk about Nour’s secret sauces that make it a unique experience.
Tools
In the real world, kitchen tools come with safety warnings, but not in Nour! Here, you can use a blowtorch, knife, salt shaker, and more to slice, squish, season, char, and paint your food. What’s even more exciting is that you can use multiple tools on the same food to stack their effects, allowing you to create your dream dish in the virtual world.
Spells
Since Nour is not bound by the rules of the real world, we’ve taken some creative liberties with how you can play with your food. Using Nour’s spells, you can combine your wizard’s hat and chef’s hat to form culinary constellations, stunning ice sculptures, or even defy gravity altogether. This is a brand new type of kitchen experience that allows you to unleash your creativity like never before.
Feel free to combine these different systems to create interactions that no chef has ever thought possible. And when you’re satisfied with your creation, be sure to whip out the Camera tool to capture your masterpiece.
Nour is an unconventional and wild game, and it has been an absolute joy to create.
