Stars with Guitars: A Night of Country Music at UB

A sold-out crowd at UB’s Center for the Arts last week got the chance to experience an acoustic extravaganza featuring five famous country musicians. Presented by Country 106.5 WYRK and Transitowne auto group, the annual “Stars with Guitars” event showcased the talents of Chase Rice, Hailey Whitters, Randy Houser, Joe Nichols, and Brian Kelley.

A Unique Concert Experience

The concert started with Chase Rice, followed by Randy Houser. Throughout the two-hour show, all five stars sat on stage, taking turns to perform their hits. The crowd was mesmerized by the back-to-back performances, creating an unparalleled concert experience.

Highs and Lulls

The show had its highs and lows. One disappointment for the crowd was when Brian Kelley didn’t play any hits from his band, Florida Georgia Line. Despite his solo career, fans still wanted to hear their favorite Florida Georgia Line track “Cruise.” However, the energy picked up when Hailey Whitters sang the Buffalo Bills’ fight song, “Shout.” The crowd instantly joined in, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.

Captivating Performances

Randy Houser delivered a standout performance, captivating the audience with his powerful vocals. Chase Rice and Joe Nichols, two of the most famous artists of the night, also connected well with the crowd. Although they seemed tired at times, their songs highlighted the essence of true country music songwriting.

Overall, the “Stars with Guitars” event provided a night of unforgettable storytelling and exceptional talent. The sold-out crowd left UB’s Center for the Arts with lasting memories of this acoustic extravaganza.
