The Big Bay de Noc girls basketball team delivered a convincing victory over Mid Peninsula on Tuesday night. Led by Ellie Nedeau’s early 3-pointer, the Black Bears quickly established a lead. Camryn Pederson showcased her skills with a steal and layup, contributing to the team’s solid ball movement. Carrigan Thill added to the lead with a free throw, while the Wolverines fought back with a 3-pointer from Rachel Johnson. Lila Morris’ jumper secured a comfortable advantage for the Black Bears, who dominated the remainder of the game. The team’s impressive defensive performance limited Mid Peninsula to under 20 points, meeting their goal as set by coach Bob Pederson. With excellent shooting from beyond the arc, the Black Bears secured a decisive 47-18 victory.

The Big Bay de Noc boys basketball team showcased their dominance with a resounding victory over Mid Peninsula. Steven Holmes and Braedon Thill led the charge, consistently finding the basket and extending the Black Bears’ lead. Thill’s exceptional performance included 27 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Despite some struggles with free throw shooting, the Black Bears displayed their offensive strength, outscoring the Wolverines in each quarter. The team’s solid defense limited Mid Peninsula to only 27 points, resulting in a comfortable 59-27 win for Big Bay de Noc.
