Police Appeal for Witnesses in Two Sexual Assault Investigations
Police in Toronto are appealing again to the public for witnesses or potential victims in two separate sexual assault investigations.
Concerns of Possible Additional Victims in Recent Incidents
Toronto police told Global News that the circumstances surrounding two incidents reported in July and August have raised concerns that there may be more victims.
Incident near Brock Avenue and Bloor Street West on July 25
In an incident reported on July 25 near Brock Avenue and Bloor Street West, a man allegedly offered English lessons to someone and then invited them to dinner. After dinner, the accused convinced the victim to go to his residence due to safety concerns. Unfortunately, the victim was sexually assaulted at the accused’s home, as disclosed by the police.
“Investigators are concerned there may be more victims, who (possibly) do not speak English but might recognize his image,” Toronto police informed Global News.
An arrest was made on August 1 in this case, with a 33-year-old man being charged with sexual assault and disobeying a court order.
