The Shawnee Mission School District community is in shock and mourning after the sudden death of Kenna Kobin, an instructional coach at Shawnee Mission North High School. Kobin, 32 years old, was found dead in her home on Constance Street on Friday afternoon. Her passing has devastated her school community.

The cause of Kobin’s death and Katie’s injuries was determined to be carbon monoxide exposure, which tragically claimed the lives of their two dogs and cat as well. The authorities stated that no foul play was suspected.
