Leduc, Alta. RCMP Searching for Suspects Following Home Invasion and Assault on 88-Year-Old Man

On August 18, at 7:30 a.m., the Leduc, Alta. RCMP responded to a home invasion involving a firearm near New Sarepta, Alta. An 88-year-old man, who lives alone, was physically assaulted after offering to help two unknown men who claimed to have car trouble.

The elderly man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and was released the same day. The RCMP believes that the suspects were driving a black 2020 Mazda 6 and has recovered what they believe to be the suspects’ vehicle. However, no arrests have been made at this time.
