A serious ATV accident occurred in the Municipality of Trent Lakes, located north of Peterborough, Ontario, on Friday evening. The ATV driver involved in the crash sustained life-threatening injuries.

According to the Peterborough County OPP, the incident was reported around 5:30 p.m. when authorities received a call regarding the ATV crash. The crash happened while the driver was traveling on Bass Lake Road and the connecting trails. It was discovered that the driver had become separated from the two others he was riding with. A passerby found the driver lying beside his vehicle.

The 49-year-old man suffered severe injuries that could potentially alter his life. He was initially transported to a local hospital and later airlifted by an Ornge air ambulance to a trauma center in the Toronto area. The police are currently investigating the crash and are seeking any information or video footage from the incident that occurred on Friday evening on Bass Lake Road.
