Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s Campaign Falls Short

This year’s installment of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a disappointing continuation of last year’s game. The campaign feels shallow and repetitive, lacking the excitement of its predecessors. It’s clear that Activision Blizzard rushed the development of this title, resulting in a lackluster experience filled with shortcuts and recycled content.

The villains you face in the campaign are equally disappointing, with a predictable cycle of one year on and one year off. It’s hard to get invested in the story when it feels like a rehash of previous games. The lack of narrative cohesion and pacing only add to the overall disappointment.

While there are some redeeming aspects of the multiplayer mode, it’s not enough to make up for the shortcomings of the single-player experience. The absence of original maps is a letdown, as players are left with remastered versions from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. While these maps may evoke nostalgia, they can’t disguise the lack of fresh content.

All in all, this year’s Call of Duty feels like an imitation of its predecessors.
