Leigh-Anne Pinnock has suggested that her debut solo album may be released in 2024.

Pinnock, formerly a member of the band Little Mix, released her first solo single ‘Don’t Say Love’ in June. The track, influenced by garage and house music, was produced by Jon Bellion and Pete Nappi, co-written by Aldae, and explores the complexities of love. Additionally, she collaborated with Jon Batiste on the song ‘Running Away’.

During an appearance on Amazon Music’s +44 podcast with hosts Zeze Mills and David ‘Sideman’ Whitely, Pinnock hinted that her solo album could be released as early as next year. She expressed her desire to tour and perform, emphasizing her love for being on stage.

Pinnock also discussed the challenges of transitioning from being part of a group to becoming a solo artist. She mentioned the impact of streaming and the importance of social media and platforms like TikTok in promoting an artist’s work. She acknowledged that while she and Little Mix have achieved great success, she now needs to build a new fan base as a solo artist.

Little Mix, formed in 2011, became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time by 2022 and one of the UK’s top-selling acts. They sold over 75 million records worldwide, earned six UK Platinum albums, and amassed over 15 billion streams.

The original line-up of the band included Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards. Nelson departed the group in 2020, and Thirlwall, Edwards, and Pinnock took a break from the group last year.

In December of last year, Pinnock assured fans that new music was on its way and expressed her excitement about the progress they had made so far.

After the announcement of Little Mix’s breakup in 2021, Pinnock made her film debut in the Christmas movie Boxing Day. She expressed gratitude for the support she received from her fellow Little Mix members during her acting endeavor.
