Jonathan Taylor on the Trade Block as Colts Set Deadline

Jonathan Taylor has been given until Tuesday to find a suitable trade partner, according to reports. The Indianapolis Colts, who recently permitted Taylor to seek a trade, are in talks with the Miami Dolphins about a potential deal.

Multiple teams have inquired about Taylor’s availability, with the Dolphins being one of them. However, the Colts are looking for a first-round pick or a package of picks in exchange for the star running back.

Earlier reports suggested that the Colts were considering placing Taylor on the non-football injury list due to a back injury, but Taylor himself has denied ever having a back issue.

Despite some personal complications, Taylor has returned to the Colts and team owner Jim Irsay expressed excitement about having him back. Irsay emphasized the need for timing and support as Taylor plays his way into being the player he was. Taylor is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has had an impressive career with the Colts thus far.

Despite recent controversial comments from Irsay, the team has no intentions of trading Taylor. The Colts recently signed veteran running back Kenyan Drake to provide depth in the wake of an injury to backup Zack Moss.

Although Taylor’s future with the Colts seems uncertain, he remains one of the league’s top running backs and may have several potential landing spots. The Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, and Carolina Panthers are among the teams that could be interested in acquiring Taylor.
