The 2023 NFL preseason has concluded, paving the way for the much-anticipated regular season. The opening game, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions, is scheduled for Thursday, September 7. However, there is still plenty of work to be done for all 32 teams across the NFL. With the Tuesday, 4 p.m. ET deadline approaching, teams are now required to trim their rosters down to 53 players, after gradually reducing the number over the past few weeks.
Throughout the offseason and for the majority of the summer, teams were allowed to have up to 90 players on their roster. This allowed for ample opportunities to evaluate talent and make informed decisions about the final roster composition.
